Studying Vocabulary and Building Your Digital Portfolio

Sorry I couldn't be with you today. I am home sick. I expect you to be on your very best behavior and treat your substitute with respect. I look forward to receiving a positive report upon my return.

Flocabulary Vocabulary with Digital Flashcards Today we are going to continue to study this week's Flocabulary vocabulary words:
ample / collaborate / concise / distinct / diversity / dominate / ignite / linger / mimic / objective / parody / rural / strive / superior / urban

To help you remember the meanings of these words I've created a set of digital flashcards using a program called Quizlet that you can find here, in your Language Arts Google Classroom, as well as below. Please spend some time making sure you understand your words and make sure to study for tomorrow's quiz.

Building Your Digital Portfolio  Take some time today to continue building your Digital Portfolio. Have you personalized your home screen? Make sure to tell your site visitors about the purpose of your Digital Portfolio, about who you are, and what you're about. Have you started adding content to your class pages yet? Reflect back on the school year and select the digital assignments that you are most proud of? You can add digital assignments in the form of Google documents, drawings, slide shows, maps, and videos.

Homework (1.) Read your A.R. book at home for at least 30 minutes and make a Digital Reading Log entry using the 4th Quarter Reading Log, which you can access in your Language Arts folder. (2.) Continue adding some content to your Digital Portfolio. (3.) Complete your Unit 2 Vocabulary assignments. (4.) Study for tomorrow's vocabulary quiz. (5.) Bring your library books because we're going to the library tomorrow.
