Last Day for Argument Writing and Vocabulary Review


 Today's Learning Objectives  * Determine or clarify the meaning of unknown words. * Write arguments to support claims with clear reasons and relevant evidence. 


Flocabulary Vocabulary Review Today we are going to review this week's Flocabulary vocabulary words for the final time:

 
anguish / boisterous / capacity / commentary / continuous / cumulative / erupt / factor / inept / intimidate / marvel / maximum / painstaking / restrain / unanimous

After watching the video one last time, work on the document Vocabulary - Unit 1 (Bottom of the Ninth) - Think Creatively, which is located in your Language Arts Google Classroom. Also make sure to study for Friday's quiz using your digital Quizlet flashcards from yesterday. 

Write an Argument Essay  Today is your last day to work on your Argument Essay in class. If you would like to meet with me today, sign up and make an appointment. Remember that your completed Argument Essay is due tomorrow, Friday, April 22

Homework  (1.) Read your A.R. book at home for at least 30 minutes and, if you choose, make a reading log entry using the Digital Reading Log. (Remember you must have made at least one entry by the end of the day Friday.) (2.) Complete your Vocabulary - Unit 1 (Bottom of the Ninth) - Pick the Winner & Understanding What You Read and Vocabulary - Unit 1 (Bottom of the Ninth) - Fix the Mistake assignments, both of which are due tomorrow, Friday, April 22. (3.) Complete your Argument Essay, which is also due tomorrow, Friday, April 22. (4.) Complete your Vocabulary - Unit 1 (Bottom of the Ninth) - Think Creatively assignment, which is due next Friday, April 29.
