'Tequila Worm' and the 100 Word Challenge

 Today's Learning Objectives  (1.) Describe how a particular story’s plot unfolds in a series of episodes as well as how the characters respond or change as the plot moves toward a resolution. (2.) Write narratives to develop real or imagined experiences or events using effective technique, relevant descriptive details, and well-structured event sequences.

Reading Activities: Tequila Worm  We will begin today by working on the guiding questions related to the chapter "The Packing Shed" from our 'The Tequila Worm' Reading Guide (Week 3). We will also to add to our Story Plot Chart ('Tequila Worm').

Writing Time: 100 Word Challenge  Let's apply what we learned from the peer review process yesterday to our own 100 Word Challenge: ... but it said 'sweet' on the wrapper... (Week 22) story. Did you recognize any strengths in the writing of your international peer that you would like to try emulate? Are their some stumbling blocks you noticed that you are going to work hard to avoid? Let's continue to learn from each other and grow as writers! If you would like to schedule a teacher conference today, I will be available at the author's table.    

Homework  (1.) Read your A.R. book at home for at least 30 minutes and make a Digital Reading Log entry using the 3rd Quarter Reading Log(2.) Finish your 100 Word Challenge: ... but it said 'sweet' on the wrapper... (Week 22) story, which we will publish tomorrow, Friday, February 20
