Flocabulary Vocabulary Meets Rory's Story Cubes Today as part of our study of this week's Flocabulary vocabulary words you and your teammates are going to continue the story of Ron and John. You will be creating a collaborative story, incorporating your vocabulary words, while using 'Rory's Story's Cubes' to help move the action along.
Before we introduce the cubs and begin our story, let's familiarize ourselves with our vocabulary words by taking a moment to rewatch this week's Flocabulary video and then study our flashcards.
How can we do use 'Rory's Story Cubes' to tell a story? Watch the video below.
Each team today will receive a ziplock bag with three story cubes and a set of flashcards of your vocabulary words. Lay out all of your vocabulary words face up, and then roll the three cubes. One member of your team will begin the story of Ron and John with "Once upon a time . . . " and use the face-up image of one of the cubes to guide the story, incorporating one of the vocabulary words. Once a word is used appropriately it comes off the board, goes into the bag, and the story moves to the next member of the team to continue, using a new cube and new word. After every three turns you can roll your story cubes again. The story continues until all of the vocabulary words have been used. Ready to play?
